first time guy

Default first time guy

Im gettin a 95 gsr 4 dr and wanting to track it what should i do to make it a good track car? Thanks Brent

To start out, just put some decent brake pads and high-temp brake fluid in it, and make sure everything is bolted down/not broken. You'll hear it from everyone here, starting in a mostly-stock car is absolutely the best way to learn. Spending whatever money you have on seat time will be more satisfying than spending it on parts too

For brakes, check out any of the following brands: Hawk, Cobalt, Carbotech, Pagid (there are others, but that'll be a good start). For fluid, there's ATE, Motul, Ford Racing, and some others. For more specific details, search the RRAX forum specifically for "brakes" and you'll turn up an enormous amount of information. Good luck!

couldn't agree more with stinky's post. i track my gsr, which is mildly prepped because its my DSP autocross car, but on track i just run sticky street tires (azenis), and for the most part its a bolt on car, with decent brakes.

after being in a couple of nasa's hpde events this advice if the best you can get good pads and after you waste whatever tires you have then upgrade that but good piece of advice
