i have a 97 accord ex with leather interior. On the front passenger side door neither the speaker or the curb light works. I just noticed this problem after i had installed a new radio deck but suspect that it was not working before i installed it, i just never noticed it until someone pointed it out. The power window and power lock works fine so i am assuming there is an electrical short to the speaker and curb light. Any help on this topic would be great.

 

What do you mean curb light? Do you mean the light under the dash that lights the floor on the passenger side?

There could be many things at work here on this for the light
1. Bad bulb
2. Bad Connector
3. Short in wires
4. Bad ground

For the speaker
1. Bad speaker
2. Bad connection
3. Wire harness is bad

Can you get a speaker to test if the connection is good?
