tsx has more intensity in it's output but lacks width/foreground and bi-xenon feature. Most people would use the tsx lens and slap it onto the fx35 projectors so they get something comparable to a TL (the brightest projector)

FX35 projectors are great if it has the clear lens. As long as there's no pattern on the lens, then it's considered clear lens and is much brighter than the dimpled ones.

TSX for lows with minor mods if looking for color
FX for bi-xenon and with mods (clear lense, front cutt off shield bar removed) makes for a damned good projector.

Simple question is what you're looking for, just lows or bi-xenon? Both can be modded to yield more cut-off color/output...

TL's may be the brightest bi-xenon projector, but I'm pretty sure the S2K and LS430's are the best low beam projectors anywhere around.

im super noob to HID's. I really dont know what to look for. Right now I got a deal on TSX projectors with the g35 kit. Im just wondering if that would even work. This is going into a 98 prelude btw

fx projectors are overrated.
Once you put money into it, they come to a stock tl output. However, a modded TL projector will be better than TL projectors
Do the math:
TL projectors = $180
ZKW-R lenses = $60
Total: $240

vs
FX projectors = $150
TSX lenses = $80
Total price = $230

If you can get the FX for cheap, then it'll still come out more to the price of a stock TL and have a similar output to an unmodded TL.

I don't post here much, but I feel the Fx projector with the CLEAR FX Retrofit source lenses are pretty nice. I am working on retro in my EG headlights with that set up. Should be pretty nice. I'm not all about having the best of the best of the best, but I think its a nice set up. Head over to HID planet and read up if your super interested in learning more. Lots of cool and helpful people over there.

I've been doing retrofits for about 5 years now, and I specialize with Preludes. I've had 4 different types of setups on my car(e46 single xenon, TSX, S2K, and now FX's) The FX projectors are good cause they're Bi-xenon, but I wish I still had my S2K setup. Don't get me wrong, they're much better than having stock lights, but people do make them to be something they're really not. If I can find some more s2k projectors, I'm going to be selling my FX setup. I even have clear lenses on them to bring out more color. If I had a choice between FX's and TSX's, I'd go with TSX's. If you'd like to check out some of my work, you can visit my myspace page myspace.com/bceretrofits I've used e46 shrouds for most of my retrofits

Nice work! how much do do you charge?

I really want to do this myself because I dont have any more to spare right now. I bought a POS prelude and i just got done dumping money into it. do you have a write up on how to do the retro fit? ive seen some around but they dont really explain it well.

For the FX setup, I'll only charge $200 for labor. I have some loaner lights you can use while I do the work which only requires a $200 REFUNDABLE deposit, so when I recieve them back, I'll refund that payment right back to you....I don't have any write-ups, but there are some on preludepower that might help you out.
