i haven't put the new tranny in yet. is this sensor the one that goes into the headers? i thought $70 was expensive for this sensor, or am i looking at the wrong one?

well, it depends. if you find a used O2 on here, it will be cheap. but yeah, new O2 are expensive. but used O2 work the same.

well, here's whats going to happen. i'm going to try and find a used o2 sensor, if i don't find one, i'm just going to buy a new one. we are just going to install the tranny ourselves sunday morning, we need to learn how anyway for when ever
we need a new clutch. i'm just going to use the money for the tranny install to buy the sensor. i may head out to a junk yard sat to look for some stock mirrors, should i try to get a sensor from them?

find a car with the sensor, then go in there late some night and get it!
what O2 sensor do you need? I might have 1 laying around here somewhere.

its the primary one so i'm thinking its the one that goes right into the headers.

you have a primary and secondary O2, right? or not. let me know. and what year is your ls? I have a gsr O2 here. becasue my 99 gsr has a primary and secondary O2, but I only used 1. (no cat) and theres only 1 plug for both O2's so I just wired the 1 O2 up. maybe you can see if you can bypass the primary and hook those wires up to the secondary. do you understand what I mean?

I think so. i dunno. it looked like a spark plug with wires coming out of it. takes a 7/8 wrench to take it off. my O2 sensors were after the exhaust manifold. on the cat. jsut take a look. its the only thing in the exhasut with wires coiming out of. can't miss it.
