Default header choice

Im replacing my crappy beat up dc header on my R engined eg civic.
I have a choice of either going tomoro and picking up a brand new buddyclub 4-2-1 for a bargain 400 euro, or order one of the rmf narrow relpica 4-1. i know its a replica and prob not got the quality of buddyclub but iv seen good reviews and it does look funky.

im runnin the JDM B18 R engine,
skunk2 stage2 tuner cams w/pullies,
KMS valve springs and seals,
magnus motorsport intake mani, (cool)
Blox 70mm TB,
custom catback coming under fuel tank w/spoon n1 back box.
apexi power fc too.

which would u go for??

If you have the money i would go for the Skunk2 Megapower. Yeah i know they are expensive but they add anywhere between 10-15 whp which your not goignt o get from any other header on the market.

well i have heard good stuff about the buddy club also but i dont know about the 4-2-1 i prefer the 4-1 headers but the 4-2-1 still puts out good power so if your getting the BC header for a good price i would go with that instead of a replica header.

its what iv been thinking but just like the ook of thr rmf.
the only thing making me think twice about the BC is the 4-2-1 design

Go with a Toda Header, Its 4-2-1 equal length and great gains are accomplished throughout the powerband. Cost a pretty penny but fit and finish are unmatched

Have you ever heard of HyTech or SMSP or Toda?

OP...FWIW, Toda is the best bang for the buck. I won't speak for the Skunk2 header bc i know squat about it, which should concern you.

You get what you pay for. Do your homework.

Hytech is suppose to be super good also. but i have seen dyno from just the skunk2 header on a B18C and it put down 12hp. thats crazy for just a header but it is like 900 bucks or something

im back again and i went for the buddyclub 4-2-1 in the end.

it was handy to get and at a very good price.

it did take 2 trips to dublin 100odd miles from where i live bacause the first time i went up the guy never answered his phone. says he lost it, i was crackin up!

anyway it was worth the wait, i fitted it today,

the manifold is a good few inches longer so the adjustable decat has to be used.
got the decat all lined up and welded it up.

there was a handy bung in the decat so i stuck the wideband in there and blocked the one in the manifold as i have closed loop switched off and dont use the original o2 sensor.

i also had to take quite a bit out of the ITR gearbox brace, mainly because its right where one of the springs is on the manifold.

cleaned it down with paint thinners and then ran the engine, its now a lovey shade of gold.lol.

iv only drove it once so far but the increase in low and midrange power over the dc manifold is noticed right away.

fuelling is a little off so i might tweak that tonight and see how it goes.

aswel as the power difference the exhaust note has completely changed too!!
