LS or B20
touchy subject, ls is good motor, b20 has thin sleevs very thin heard alot about them cracking imo no matter what build i would go ls/vtec, imo i dont want to take the risk and cant afford sleeving
ls motor are cheap also like i said imo i dont want to risk cracking a sleeve due to high revving there not designed to rev as high as a ls motor could,

no problem, good luck make sure you use the right parts when you build here is a site on the build, http://www.modified.com/tech/0411scc...ine/index.html

The B20 does have their sleeves mounted a different way into the block and are still very strong. The only issue that comes up is under higher boost levels, they are known to have issues with cracking, but this is under big power. Most applications work no problem, and the larger size of the 2.0L makes more power than an LS any day of the week.
Here is a pic of a stock B20 short block, there's nothing wrong with sleeve thickness
Both P72 {GSR) and PR3 (B16) heads so so similar we are talking a difference of 2-3hp, and that depends on what rpm you are looking at.
The gsr head makes more power at lower rpm and also has better design quench area which is less prone to detination under boost conditions.
The B16 head makes less power only the low end and only a touch more on the high end, but in truth, the difference between both designs is so close you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.
Here's an actual dyno of the two heads, stock for stock showing how close power output is
Holy ****, what a difference, NOT
