I would skip those rotors for now. Do a full tune up while you're at it. Plugs, wires, cap & rotor, oil & trans flush, etc. I would go no bigger than 16" wheels. Changing the color from red to black can be a big job to make it look right. Sounds like your going in the right direction though. Do some suspension work to make it sit nice with those wheels. I hate seeing civics in my area with wheels still on the 4x4 package.

I would highly recommend not getting 17" rims like you mentioned i would get 15's or maybe 16's if you want to go a little bigger. I have 17's that came on my car and i absolutely hate driving with them, once some cash starts burning a hole in my pocket i would like to get some 15's

Nah I have to work on the rotors. I'll post up pics and theyre MESSED up. Theyre rusted badly. I tried grinding it down in the pic but it was getting too dark. And yea, I was thinking of 16" Konig with Pirelli tires.

rotors get rusty over time, just drive3 your car and use your brakes and it'll be gravy. I thought the ex came with tachometers, why change to si? they're exactly the same. Grinding it down might have been a mistake, just drive it. and it'll go away.

I would've done that. I saw some threads about it but theyre rusted to the point that they don't even turn anymore.

They will be pretty hard to turn by hand. Just driving the car will knock all that off. Or you could just take em in and get them turned. The cross drilled/slotted rotors are a waste imo. Most a very cheaply made and will end up cracking.

Hahaha yea. I dont wanna have to pay to get it towed to the shop and stuff. And I was planning to replace them all after I install the new clutch. And I'll take your suggestion about the slotted rotors. What rotors would you recommend? I'm not really looking for speed in my car. More towards handling and control.

I've always used NAPA blanks, $25 each for my 10.9" rotors. Most will probably recommend some sort of blank rotor.

EXs did come with a tach and it is the same as the Si, however the OP has a Canadian EX, equivelent to the US LX which still has a tach but redlines at 6300 RPM.

Update: As much as I want to keep the car and make it my own, my dad isn't very supportive with what I'm trying to do and he does not want to me to keep the car in the garage. He says it won't be able to run anymore. But I know that with my hard work and dedication to this car, I can make it my car.

Other than that, I might have to sell the car
Either parted out or as a whole.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

I'd recommend just some regular blanks from the autoparts store. All about the same ****.

Sucks you might have to sell. I would try selling it whole and if noone buys, think about parting it out. Lots of EG's around.

I used Brembo blanks before and they were nice.

Currently, I'm using slotted Brembos and I like them about the same. I haven't really noticed a difference between the two.

Is there really a difference between slotted or just regular rotors?

Update: I'm still going to try and get the car up and running before my dad kicks it out. He says I have till the end of the month or something like that. So I got some of my friends that are going to help me out.

So I have another problem. When I wanted to take out the front bumper to get it cleaned, the screws were stripped. How can I go about removing them and replacing them?

I think you have too many other problems to be worrying about how clean the front bumper is. Why are you taking it off just to clean it? Why don't you just clean it on the car like everyone else?

I agree. And it's not really about how clean the front bumper is. I want to take it off so everything easier and see if there is anything else I have to worry about.

if the screws are stripped then you should still be able to barely get it off using a wrench, the screw heads should have 2 parallel sides you can use. It's hard but it can be done.

Update: I finally got one of the calipers out. The other on the other hand is giving me trouble. The bolt wont budge. I drenched it in PB Blaster and I'm going to try again tomorrow. Another problem is that the rotor screws. I borrowed an impact screwdriver from a mechanic I know. I used it on the screws and it wont budge. Is there a certain way to hit it with a hammer?
