Default decking/resurfacing block question

is 17 thousandths too much to shave off of a gsr block?

im just worried that the pistons will stick out past the deck and also that takes away from ur displacement correct?

displacement=bore x stroke

honestly, i would only consider shaving to asure a flat surface or zero-deck your piston-to-deck.
