Everything is okay. Our cars whistle a bit at certain RPM/throttle positions.
As for the high idle, replaced intake manifold gasket as well as throttle body gasket (with correct application) and torqued to spec in proper sequence?

I just replaced my SGR mani for the S2 Mani and it idled high at first also. since it is a diff. mani with bigger plenums and runners you might want to adjust your idle screw, thats what i had to do. so try that out and let me know.

Well like i said i just replaced mine this past weekend and i didnt torque anything either which i know is dumb ha but hey when you dont have a torque wrench what you going to do. could just be your IACV is dirty. all you have to do is take the 2 bolts out of it and take a look at the screen on one of the holes. If it has dirt and gunk in it then taht could be your problem. Also check double check and triple check for vaccum leak somewhere.

Does the idle stay high or does it eventually come down when its warm?

If the idle comes down when its warm than thats normal. If it stays your need to check vac. leaks,or clean IACV, or clean FITV, or check TPS position.

This might be a dumb question, but did you leave enough slack on the throttle cable? It isn't pullin on it at all is it? Usually a bad IACV would cause a jumpy idle. The FITV (if equipped) would be something worth looking into also.

I agree with EK man i would check your FITV first. Take it apart and look at the white ring on the inside. Sometimes after while it starts to screw out leaving a gap in between so air doesnt stop coming threw when warm. So if it isnt screwed in all the way make sure you do that.
