Yea... so, just wondering has anyone seen something like this before? The vin is good and all, but a few people have asked about it... and... Im starting to wonder myself...

this is really starting to bug me...

 

ITRs NEVER came with sunroofs. It was either put in afterwards (which is a really dumb idea) or this car is not a real ITR. I would bet on the latter.

 

Lift the hood of your car and check the back of the engine bay for your VIN# if it matches JH4DC231 it's an ITR and maybe the dash was replaced at some point. Those seats look like they are out of an 01 Canadian car.

 

Well, the numbers match... and carfax says it is... so... unless the owner before the owner that i purchased it from was intending to put in a sunroof...

bah... im confused now..

Im gonna keep checkin to make sure this things legit...

 

^^ seats were replaced because motor and seats were stolen (2 owners ago)

Just pop out the switch stop by the dealer and get the block out for it.
problem solved.
vin is saying it's a real type r so there is nothing to worry about.

 

Maybe they ripped the dash out when the motor and seats were stolen. That's pretty common. Cluster and arm rest looks JDM. Mileage is probably inaccurate although with a new engine it probably doesn't matter. I agree... just stop by your dealership and get the block out and replace the switch with it and it's an ITR dash. I can't think of any differences aside from the carbon faux. In fact Canadian spec R's never came with carbon faux so it will match your seats perfectly. Finishing touches would be the stitched shift boot and gear selector.

 

exactly what i was gonna say, most like all the carbon faux was stolen with the seats and stuff so he prob got a reg teg one to put back in

Sunroof switch from another Integra repurposed? I have seen them used for power lock switches, power antenna, etc.

check all the vins, In Fl, I heard of people welding in wrecked ITR firewalls to RS's.

 

I think its hilarious that people are assuming its not a Real ITR. For the love of god, The god damn dash isnt original. Ita a damn switch. Im sure someone went to all the trouble of welding in a wrecked ITR fire wall into an RS, and then swaped in a GSR sunroof switch.. One of the dumbest comments i've ever heard on HT.

 

its not hard to look at the subframe and look for hole behind abs lol

 

Got the cover for it, wasnt to bad and it looks fine now.
Yea... saying its not a legit ITR just cuz of the controls?

BTW.... im having a problem with the cig lighter now... found out the wires were disconnected.. reconnected them... and.. nuthing. The ashtray light works now sinch it was plugged in... but not the actual cig lighter. Think just run down to napa or kragen and get another?

Also, when i tried hooking up the tow sets, one end didnt match up due to a plastic piece... Removed it and the wires went it (wires matched).

 

how come i only see 2 peddles ?

I actually have that switch for my R since I took out the switches on my door panels handles so people can't open my lock easy for the RS ones and used the sunroof switch as my power lock to open and lock my doors
