Alright so my buddy and I just got his ls v running. Well there was a check engine so i went through got the codes from the p28 ecu and fixed everything but there is one left, its code 10. Which is an IAT (intake air temp sensor) problem. Well I go to look at the wiring coming from the sensor and there is a yellow/black wire which is cut but i believe is always power on hondas correct me if im wrong? Then there is a red wire coming from it which is cut as well. Well I look at the ecu and there is no wire going to the 15 slot on the d side which is for the IAT. My question is which wire am I going to run to that pin? The yellow/black one? and is the red wire a signal wire that will go to the ecu as well? OR is it a ground wire? I looked online quite a bit and couldn't find it. I don't want to ground it and have it be a signal wire and fork up the sensor or the ecu. Input greatly appreciated
i believe for the iat it doesnt matter. either wire can be hooked up. i tired it yesterday cause i have the stock iat in the intake but i just wired in the itr style iat on my s2 mani and tried wiring it both ways. no code either way i wired it.
Yellow/black is "true" ign., [hot in run and start].
What year is the car?
My wiring diagrams show, 94-97 Integra IATS has a green/blue and a red/yellow, the green/blue is common to the heated oxygen sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor and the throttle position sensor and 98 Integra has red/yellow and green/black, the green/black is common with the engine coolant temperature sensor, throttle position sensor, fuel tank pressure sensor and the primary heated oxygen sensor.
The 90-91 Integra has a red/yellow and a green/white, the green/white is common to the ECTS, TPS and exhaust gas recirculation valve lift sensor, 92-93 Integra is the same but green/white is also common to the heated oxygen sensor.
Not sure if all that is any help, if not get me the year of engine and MM&Y of car and I can look it up on AllData tomorrow morning at work. 94
