Icon3 trouble shooting h2o

yo just got a 96 teg. ls, need quick help. problem is low coolant in radiator and resivor is full. doesnt run hot or leak, have to put more coolant in every 3 days or so. any info. would be very help full. thanks in advanced....

possibly a bad head gasket... that would be my first thought... pull the plugs if they look extremely clean then you are probably burning coolant

when you thermostat is at normal driving condition pop the hood and feel oth hoses if they arent the same temp,and about as full in both hoses then your water pump might be going out

also check the oil...if its really high off the top mark....your "missing" coolant is laying in the bottom of your oil pain....in turn meaning...bad head gasket

ok but it water is laying in the bottom of the pan wouldnt i see it on the dip stick?

aw shift... i dont know... guess ill just change the hoses, therm., and head gasket, and go from there. thanks everyone
