Si Wheel Bearing
Ok, I have a 2000 Civic Si. Wheel Bearings needed to be replaced, so I took off everything(brakes, axles, balljoints) leaving me with the knuckles. I got two brand new honda wheel bearings, each bearing has a metal side/retainer and a black rubber/plastic side/retainer. Now the factory manual says to place the metal side of the bearing a certain way. I believe it should go, metal side in to the knuckle. So the metal side faces the axle/cv joint. The shop I had press the bearings, pressed one the right way and one the wrong way. Can anyone tell me how important it is to have them facing the right way? I have my thoughts about it but would just like some input before I go back there tomorrow and talk to them about it.
Thanks
Thanks
im sure its pretty important they go in the correct lay. one rubber and one metal side is a big difference. take it back and tell them they are wrong and to redo it. follow everything by the book.
