Hello.

I noticed a lot of vibration when the brake is applied on the highway.
The pads and shoes were replaced about 5 months ago. What could make this problem? (Anyway, mine is a 2000 Ex 2dr. auto. 137k on it.)

Have you checked the rotors to see if they are warped?

 

Rotors are no longer parallel.

 

Is it only matter of the rotors or with the rear drums?
This is my first car which don't have rear disk brakes.

if you can feel it in the steering wheels its 99% sure the rotors. usually drums dont take enough beating to warp. if its not the rotors.. possibly bad alignment has caused uneven tire wear. or even a bend in the rim

 

Have your rotors resurfaced and that should fix your problem.
It's only like 30 bucks for 2 if you take them off yourself.
