When i bought my 00 ek it came with "auto lock"... but my doors only lock when i start the car. And to unlock, I would have to turn off the car.

Today, i was in a rush to get out the car, so i didn't wait long enough after i turned off my engine to let it unlock THEN open the door.

I tried almost everything to get the door to open from the inside and outside!!

Right now, the only way to open the driver door is too put the key in and turned to the right while i pull handle!!!!

I cant go another day like this, can anyone help me???
Anybody know how to fix it?
Do i need new a new door latch/wiring???

P.S. the inside door lock and unlock handles arent connected from the inside
so you touch them and they easily flap around!! (Pretty much useless)

And when I turn off the car I can hear the mechanism inside the door work but it dosent unlock!!!

 

Seems like you have after market actuators. You are gonna have to take the door panel off and readjust them.

So if the door handle from the inside was never connected and flops around, all this time you been reaching to the outside to open your door.
