swap question

Default swap question

swapped b18b1 in 93 delsol got an obx tps and the car was held at 6000rpms and now barley runs will the tps cause a barley run simptom and i am putting a oem honda one back on tomorrow

Did you adjust the tps yet? You can't just slap it on and expect it to run right. Back probe the connector. At idle it should have .45v and at full throttle should be around 5v I think.

yes i did i think i may have found the issue i used those plastic gaskets one for the intake manifold and one on the throttle body in the lower right coner their is a hudge vacume leak i orderd a paper gasket from my local store should have it tomorrow also my tps the obx one is at .45 closed and 4.35 wide open so i just took th tb off my d series and am going to use that

i have a 1993 honda delsol with a jdm type r swap, i got the motor from a buddy that had it in a 92 hatchback, also ran it with no o2 sensor? hmmm..
im not sure if that was good or not but i need to know if i need to run it in mine or not & also what color the wire is or wires that goes to it because im not really sure, also, i keep hearing about secondary o2 sensor on this motor, do i have to run two o2 sensors?? please help
one more question... what color is the wire for the oil pressure sending unit?

you can make a new thread, it's ok.

you only need one o2 sensor as long as you are running an obd1 ECU. the secondary o2 is for catalyst efficiency monitoring. The 2nd o2 just makes sure the cat is there and functioning properly, if not it will cause a CEL, but again if your ECU is obd1 it will not give you a CEL and will be just fine.

Just going off the top of my head but i believe the wire is green with a yellow tracer? someone correct me if i'm wrong.
