Should I rebuild my B17?
hey guys Iam new to HT and just want to say hi to every1!
long story short after a few attempts at trying to get my car to pass emmisions I decided it was time for me to do a leakdown since everything was good with compression results(160-155-150-165)!
I got got almost a %40 leak on piston number 3, my question is how does this not show on my compression test, which is more likely to be right?
I followed c-speedracings instructions and it says to listen to where air is escaping from but even at %40 I hear none!
how would I go by figuring out what is wrong? I opened up the tb aswell as the rad cap and no air there? so is it healthy to say that my rings are tost? is there any other way of figuring out?
a freind also so noted that all the pistons have low compression and that they should be at the 200 mark not 165 is this true? dont the b17's have low compression anyway, something like 9.7 or so?
