Got a new LS crankshaft... Grooves on oil pump journal and main seal journal?

Just picked up this LS crankshaft, but noticed these grooves- Is this an issue? it is where the oil pump seal rides, and the main seal rides:


the lip grooves are normal. especially if the crank has allot of miles on it the seals lip will cause a slight groove in those spots.
you can have the rear main seal and oil pump seal installed a slight bit further in or out so it can ride on a fresh new surface of the crank. just make sure the surface is clean and smooth.

Thanks for the info- I saw people selling something called a "microgroove" kit
Its installed by a machine shop, and creates a new surface for it to ride on- How exactly do I change the position of where the seal rides? Thanks!

Ask a engine builder for a speedy sleeve i have use them many times for this.the machine shop will do it for ya.
