im h22ing my accord what parts do i need?
Allright, i was going to just buy a b16 swapped eg but i liked the idea of throwing an h22 in my accord better. ive just got a couple questions. what all do I need for the build? and can I use my accord auto trans with it? or do I need an h22 trans? im looking to hopefully spend about $1800 on the build. Or are there better ways of making such power for $2000? I turbo setup would cost way more then 2grand. or if I could I would throw that idea out the window and do an auto to 5speed swap. which would be cheaper? im having a shop do all the work
Don't pay attention to the Accord FAQ, this (h22 swap) has never been discussed before.
Don't do a search on turbo f22 vs h22 either.

ahh **** you..im jus playin bro. i forgot about those. sorry this thread can now be delted i guess..
<- douche
They are all in there though.
I will tell you from experience, if you have a shop do the h22 - the motor + the maintenance items + labor will easily be over $2000.

Ehh what about the trans swap? i wonder how much a shop would ill just call around. and for parts i guess i could just buy a clunker accord with a 5speed. does year of the accord matter?
dont know if i should be reviving this thread but here goes. Basically you need your year model, and motor parts for everything. Any f or H series tranny will bolt up, but depending on what gear ratios you want will change what tranny you want. For a basic f22b2 to f-series 5spd, in spite of all the misconceptions NO motor mounts need to be changed. I've done the swap myself on my '96 F22B1. Just need (obviously) the tranny mount, and to re-drill the mounting bolt hole on the chasis side of the mount. Need your year clutch/gas/brake pedal assembly, clutch lines/master cylinder/ etc for all that. and the 5spd ECU for your year/engine.

You are misinformed or ghetto, or both. On A CD5 you do NOT need the tranny mount, its the DS mount you WILL need, or shave the OEM one... You CAN use an oem Lude DS mount, but the tranny mount is fine...
Get your mind right

To change from auto to manual in a CD5? You need the manual tranny mount. The transmission mounts are completely different. The DS engine mount for the auto car and the 5spd car is identical.
Wonderfull is referring to the H22 swap, which uses the same mounts as the F22 but the driver's side, which is a prelude mount.
For a auto>5spd that's correct use the F series mount

Get your mind right, good day.
I wouldn't exactly call the guy with one of the most powerful CD chassis accords an idiot. He misread your statement. He knows what he's doing.
I didnt pay much attention to his post... Oh well... Im an idiot... Hahahahahayup. I must be doing it wrong.
I made 660 at the wheels yesterday on a car I BUILT. wonder what the supergenius did with his day, and yes Muff man, i believe I have one of the (If not THE most powerfull) true street CDs.
Well see 10s this yerar, with full interior and all... MId tens is my guess.. At around 140MPH
**** it went 11.80 at 129 on street tires with 2.25 60s on mid boost driving it like a girl last year.
How you been???
pot, kettle, black? Whatever really makes no difference I just find funny that someone who's replying to a thread hasn't even read what it's concerning...
That's cool though, you have your own shop or what? F-series boosted? Or what you running?

He's running a fully built H22, turbo I couldn't tell you since I think he's changed it 200 times by now
car looks relatively stock on the outside, no real cosmetic mods. Tons of goodies in the bay though.
