CC stage 5 clutch not disengaging issue
After having my car sitting in my garage for about a month while I made myself a new manifold and going with a bigger turbo I took it out for some partial throttle tunning. Everything seemed normal. Last Friday I took it to the dyno and on WOT pulls the clutch would not disengage at the end. It would stay in gear unless it was yanked out of gear. This happened every pull. I bled the clutch and did another pull and same thing happened. The clutch pedal pressure seems the same as before. I did not get the upgrade pressure plate so it feels like stock-ish. What does that mean? Is the clutch going out? I want to see if there is something I can do before I drop the tranny and inpect the clutch.
What do you mean by freeplay? It engages about an inch from the floor.
Its a b-series motor. What is the washer trick?

I love this clutch but if it actually is a problem with it I might just get another with the upgraded pressure plate. It is just weird how all of a sudden its gone bad.

Is it sprung? Could he have scattered a spring?
I've designated several clutches and they all had several issues like ur talking about but none were comp.
I actually went w a comp stg 5 w upgraded plate, yet to install it.

freeplay is the little bit of movement before the master starts to push fluid under pressure. too much freeplay and the clutch wont fully disengage. too little and it will be slightly diesngaged with no pedal effort.
Yes it is the sprung 4 puck disk. Wouldn't it make some weird sounds? Everything is fine when normal driving although I've had trouble getting it into gear a couple times.
If Im not misatken I think CC suggests using their flywheel and pressure plate with their stage 5 clutches.....That being said for clarification, you mean that it wont DISengage with the pedal down??? first thing I would check is the distance that the slave cylinder is moving. It might just be as simple as a slave or master begining to go out
