Oil Burning or Exhaust Leak?
Can't quite tell from the smell, I just know that I'm starting to get high driving my car, lol. I do know that my car burns oil but lately sometimes it gets to the point where I have to roll down my windows.
Car is a 95 ls with 215k.

Is it a fuel smell or oil smell? If it's oil, then the charcoal canister shouldn't be the issue.
Check under the car for oil leaks. I had a leak dripping onto my header from my stock oil cooler o-ring, but since you have an LS you don't have the oil cooler. Check around your oil pan gasket especially.
