Default My BMW Drag Car

I decided to ditch my BMW drive train in favor of something different. Here is what I have gotten done so far. I hopefully will start on the cage this week. I just received the chromoly.

List of specs:
4.6 teksid Aluminum block
Manley Rods and Pistons
04 cobra crank
06 gt 3 valve heads( custom Port work)
Ford Racing Wiring harness

Competition Eng 9" rear end housing
Moser third member

More to follow

All the work done my me and Bryan at Top Speed Performance

Prop on the work, but why would you choose to use a 4.6L sohc modular ford over a cheaper, smaller, lighter, more powerful gm lsx? Will this be blown?

There are several reasons I decided to use this motor.

1- No one has ever done it that I know of
2- I have already built a turbo chevy so I feel the need to build a turbo Ford
and the main reason is because I already had the motor.

I agree that lsx powered bmw's are awesome and they fit in the engine bay alot better but I wanted to be different. Plus I needed to cause some drama with a friend of mine that is a die hard bmw fan and mustang hater

we plan to build a custom twin turbo set up on the car

Already having the engine is a good reason, lol. Why not go with the 4v heads though? Cost?

The 4 valve heads are actually cheaper, you can use lincoln mk8 heads and they are really cheap. The reason I used 3 valve heads is because of the Ford Racing wiring harness

There's just something about a BMW drag car, with a Ford powerplant that's just wrong.
