Civic ep3 intake
or if you really want the password intake, relocate your stock battery to the trunk. only have to buy the extension wires, terminals, and battery box (cheap). And with that Password relocation kit, you have to buy an aftermarket battery too because the stock battery can't be used with it. Your best bet is finding a used intake and get a new filter if need be. Check the marketplace here, and on ephatch.com and craigslist in your area.

It's an INTAKE, your uber-sensitive butt dyno won't feel the .5hp you'll gain from an Injen brand to an eBay pipe.
Intakes are stupid anyways.
Seriously I have a better one then all of those intake... the Hondata air box mod and it works great and sounds good and guess what its free!!!!!! I have notice a little difference with it! I also changed the filter to a K&N one...
pff...it's time to come out of the box...lol...j/k
rofl.. i never experimented with EP's but a friend of mine tried all diff kinds of stuff on his FG.. n if he gained power .. it was 1 or 2 horse and he almost always lost torque.. he had AEM v2, Injen, and some other brands.. none worked.. so he did just full exhaust bolt on with stock airbox n made 206whp.. on the other side of things.. EP's typically make 135-140whp stock. mine made 157whp and 137wtq with just AEM V2 and skunk2 60mm mid pipe with custom axelback
He is talking about the generic air intakes... I am happy with my Hondata Air Box mod cause I rather put the money on my suspension then on an air intake... but that is just me!

Anyway i have a 3 inch CAI off of the rsx-s. I live in NY and it rains quite a bit. Im yet to have a problem. Knock on wood.
i just received my "ebay" intake in the mail yesterday for my 89 hatch. It really is just a tube with a filter on it. Oh, and a little tube sticking off the side to hook to the valve cover.
The aluminum tube is.... an aluminum tube. Maybe the "name brand" tubes are polished inside? I don't know. The tube and filter fit correctly under the hood, but was a little tight because I wanted to keep the battery where it was. The only little complaint that I have would be that the little side-port thing to hook to the valve cover is pointed up a little, and causes a bit of a clearance issue with the hood, I had the rotate the pipe a little more than I wanted.
Now when I stomp on the throttle, I get a much louder... "growl" from under the hood. Kinda neat - I don't feel any difference in performance(nowhere near the difference after adjusting all my valves) yet. I hope it will improve fuel economy and maybe add a couple HP...
I think if I put some elbow grease into the thing and polished the outside to a mirror-like finish and slapped a sticker on it, it would be difficult to tell from a "name brand" pipe.
Also check out this site! Dyno results before and after an "ebay" intake. It's on a subaru though...
