Do USDM ITR pistons stick out of the block?
Of course this depends on the block, crank, and rods you are using...
If you are talking about a stock ITR bottom end, no, the pistons should be in the hole.

Ya ITR block, crank, rods. How far should they sit in the hole? Any way to distinguish them from GS-R pistons without using the casting numbers?
the domes on stock itr pistons stick out, the head is flush. gs-r pistons are flat-tops that are flush with the deck surface. both have same crankshaft, rods, and pin height (sure, the R's get the good stuff
). i'm also describing usdm stuff here. the jdm itr's stick out a little more, the jdm SiR-G (Japan's GS-R equivalent) has slight dome pistons. the B16 pistons stick out a little more, and the ctr's have the greatest dome height
