WON'T START: Fuel Pump Dead when Parked Facing Up.
So title pretty much sums it up.
88 CRX Si.
When parked down a hill, everything is normal:

- With key turned to "Accessories" the Check Engine Light turns 'on' then 'off' after the fuel pump 'Click'
- There is fuel pump 'humm'
When parked up a hill:

- With key turned to "Accessories", the CEL turns 'on', and stays 'on.'
- There is no fuel pump 'humm' or 'click'
Any help would be appreciated.

Does this happen regardless of the level of fuel in the tank? The reason I ask is because on my Civic the pump would allow bubbles into the injectors when the car was below 1/2 tank of gas. The problem ended up being the fuel pickup hose had become detached from the pump. It was solved by buying gas tank repair epoxy and adhering the tube to the pump.
Hope this helps.

At first I thought the level of fuel mattered, until this happened one time when I had it 3/4 tank full.
Also, I think heat could be a factor. As the CEL turns off after 10 minutes of it failing to start; if I'm on a hill facing up
