Default My new front end *DC4 inside*

I've been accumulating parts for my conversion for a few months now and finally got the main pieces of the puzzle. I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to finally put it on. There are gaps in certain places because the fenders and bumper is made out of fiberglass. I know, I should have gotten oem, but I got the bumper and fender and bumper support for $150. I'll get the real thing in a few weeks. Its rough but I like how its turned out. I'll update when the real bumper and fender goes on with a fresh coat of paint. Oh yeah, I did the T-bar conversion rather than the whole rad. support replacement and I painted the headlights and it took pretty much a weekend to do the whole thing.

thanks, I'm not really too fond about the color, but I'll stick with it. I wish it was MR.

Yeah I know its rough (I did mention it on the first post). The fenders and bumper is being switched out for O.E. This is just a little project of mine since I have the afternoons and weekends free.

congrats on finally getting all the pieces. will be dope when you get the OEM and you will probably love it more when you do.

but why roll around with a black jdm front and green car instead of rockin the stock front end until you can get it all painted?

My car is green? I'm impatient, and when I was done drilling out the first spot weld, there was no turning back so I just kept going. It was a spur of the moment thing. Besides, the new front looks way better than the stock one, trust me. Anyways, this is not a show car/race car in anyway, its my work car and I always wanted the ITR look. The different colors don't bother me one bit.

why would you waste money on fiberglass parts when you're supposedly getting oem ones within a couple weeks? seems like a waste of money to me. thumbs up for a jdm front though...once it's all installed and painted.

I got the fiberglass pieces cause it was cheap (150 for fenders, bumper, and bumper support) and thought that it would fit just fine. Now that I know it doesn't fit the way I want it to, I'm going OEM. I know it seems like a waste of money, but all of the parts and labor is still way under $500, considering the cost for a complete conversion starts around $1000. With the purchase of the metal fenders and bumper, it still would bring me under $700 for total cost of the project excluding the paint. Anyways lesson learned on the fiberglass, it can always be used for a back up.

And the parts were sourced out online, the headlights and grill I got off ebay from a guy stationed in Japan for $150 shipped. The fiberglass parts were sourced through H-T and the hood and radiator support was from Venus Auto in Sac. That is where I'll get the fenders and bumper from.
