Default Dilemma Again

Alright so I had the same dilemma the first time around buying a header for my b16.

I settled on a Hytech Replica header which I really liked and was a very good header. The only problem is that clearance became an issue... to make a long story short they are almost flat now.

I opted for a solution by seeing if i ld get a skid plate made, but i was turned down twice because there was not enough ground clearance to clear the skid plate.

So the search begins again and i have a limited budget again $600 tops.

Two solutions are what I have come up with:

1. COMPTECH STAINLESS TIG WELDED HEADER
* Stainless Steel TIG welded 4-2 header
* 4-6 wheel HP gains
* 50 State Street Legal

$559.00

2. Edelbrock Ceramic 2-piece 4 into 1 Headers
- New Pro Flo 1-Piece Headers offer performance you can feel without taking a huge bite out of your wallet. In chassis dyno tests against a leading competitor's header that claims to maximize top end power, the Edelbrock 1-Piece Header beat the other guys' header by 3 horsepower at the wheels. Edelbrock Pro Flo 1-Piece headers for Honda/Acura have outstanding performance features such as mandrel-bent 1-3/4" primary tubes, heavy duty 3/8" laser-cut port flanges for a positive gasket seal and ceramic coated 16-gauge steel construction. Other advantages are lighter weight, better ground clearance and easier installation than competitor's 4-into-1 designs. They are direct replacements for stock exhaust manifolds, so installation is simple using the factory catalytic converter. 50-state emissions legal.

$359.99

has anyone ever used any of these two products? whch one do you think is the best out of the 2?

all comments are welcome!

The Narrow Headers have good clearance. It also WASTED the Hytech Replica headers in a dyno test.

I like that Armor plate thing, too. I'm going to look into that for myself!

Check out the Narrow's ground clearance:

the thing with that is that it has the same problem that the hytech has. the bour tubes bend under the oil pan... i dont want to take another chance with 500$ and waste it on something that will be destroyed.

So i'd really like to stay with something like the designs i posted above please!

thanks for the help so far.

and that header sheild i don't know if it would stop from denting the header

I also saw that Password:JDm makes an SMSP replica header that falls into my price range as well what do you think?

you should go with the rmf replica narrow header, or the spfab toda replica header both of those headers are better suited for a b16. and both cost around 500 $.

You should get the replica header that is shiny, and almost looks like the original, you know, the one.
