Default b20 Vtec.

im interested in building a b20 vtec instead of the LS vtec. anyone know what cars i could pull the block out of besides the older CRVs?

Preludes also carry the b20. but the swap is SUPER uncommon because of the mounting and... it's just crappy. CRV's are the only car in the US that you can get the b20b#/z#
other than that, you could order the b20b/z from online dealers.

the older prelude B20 is not the same as the CRV B20. The CRV is the only place to get a B20.

i have a b16 head, and i heard that it wont bolt up with the b20z. is that true?

i know. the b20a has doesn't sit " upright " compared to the " commonly " swapped b-series in the civic and integra chassis.

the b16 head would fit. some people from different forums say that the "dome shaped" piston from the b20z might tap the valve when vtec engages. thats just what the other guys say.
