Icon3 Turbo for rsx type s

I'm thinking of buying an 02 Acura RSX with 300hp (mods already done) I was wondering what the range of hp I can expect from installing a turbo kit. Just an estimate will do. for example 50-100hp. Thanks!

So it's 300hp now all motor, and is that whp? Do you have a mod list? Also if it truly is a 300hp NA monster, why the hell would you want to boost it?

I don't know the whp but I thought that putting a turbo on it might add a lot of power. Also I have free installation if I get it done within the next three months so I was thinking even a slight increase might be worth it, what do you guys think, also what would be the gain. I'm not sure yet as to the specific mods. Pistons cams etc.

this doesnt sound right. I bet it has forced induction already. Blown/N2O.

If it is NA 300whp do not boost it. You would have an incredible machine!

As for power from boost it is usually 10hp per pound of boost so if you are running 10psi X 10 = 100hp.

Yeah, I think we need a mod list or at least some more information about the car.

Dang if it's around 10hp per 1psi, I had a friend doing 30psi on his LS EG haha, wow.

Dude, I wanna see some pics. You should check out your local shop and get a base run done. I think it's like $50, and once you know what you got this thread might not be totally pointless.

it depends on the size of the blower. 30 psi from something like a small t25 isn't anything, but if it's like a gt40...then yes, 30 psi will be huge and push you probably close to the ~700 hp mark.

I don't think it's 300whp I think it's 300hp, I don't know the whp, but if I get the car then I'll definetley get a base run done on it, the 50.00 would be worth it, as far as I know, no turbo or race gas.

OP said nothing about a k24/k20, so it should be assumed that it had the stock motor and not a hybrid. it would be like someone saying that his miata could put out 500 whp. unless a different motor is stated, it should be assumed something has the stock motor because it's common knowledge. however, with your argument, a rsx is capable of 500 whp as well with the right motor swapped in. in fact, with enough money, you can probably swap in some rediculous motor in to get it well over 1000 whp. my argument is simply that a k20 isn't going to push out 300 whp and be streetable; other engines are capable of 300 whp and are streetable.

265 =/= 300. the guy on k20a.org blatantly said it wasn't 300 hp, so i don't know how you can argue it's 300. i shall reiterate that it is a nice car nonetheless.

I completely agree with you, aside from you saying 300 n/a not being streetable. I highly doubt this rsx has 300hp let alone 250hp
