Default Car dies while driving RSX with K-Pro

Hello my friend has a 04 RSX fully built motor it was tuned for 430whp, when we test drive the car couple days ago everything was fine but last night a got a call from him saying that the car just died while he was driving so when i checked his car and tried to start it will only turn on for like 3 or 4 sec and it will die so what i did was remove the positive battery for couple mins. to reset the ecu and after that the engine starts fine but it looks like its now running to rich on fuel coz of black smoke coming from his exhaust, so could that be from reseting the ecu or sumthings wrong with the tuning or the k-pro itself? does he need to tune his car again?

The ecu does not re-set it's self, even after disconnecting the power to the ecu...
Is his check engine light on ?
What map sensor is he running ?
