train horn? $399? thats pretty crazy..
why not just get hella supertones or 2 or 3 trumpet air horns? their both under $100 (for the part) and don't take much to install... the supertones don't need a compressor and the trumpet ones use a compressor... I have air horns hooked up to my horn switch and also my alarm

taney and JDM I'm replying to both of you in 1 reply ok? anyway..
the install is not hard at all .. I have the 2 trumpet (1 high 1 low pitch) air horn which has a compressor and relay..
you have to take off the front bumper unless you want to mount them somewhere other than in the front of the car near the inner radiator support/bumper/front mouth, etc area... anyway all you do is mount the air horns where ever you like.. then mount the compressor.. connect the air tube to the compressor.. and connect the Y out/splitter tube to the 2 air horns.. now you are done w/ the physical installation.. tap into the horn button/horn trigger switch/wire.. and wire this to your relay... the other prongs on the relay go to fused 12V, ground, and + for the air compressor.. ground the air compressor and your done.. plug in the fuse and hit the horn button to test that it works and the air horn sounds... if it does after your connections are soldered, shrink wrapped, wire conduit and whatever else you want to do w/ them.. put back your front bumper and your done..
the hella supertones are electrical (no compressor) I believe.. making it even easier to mount/install than air horns (since theres no trumpets or air compressor just 2 curved/circular air horns...
as for db I believe it said either 120db or 125 db on the box.. let me tell you when I honk my horn.. or my alarm goes off (w/ alarm siren AND air horns.. ) its loud as hell...

I have the hella dual trumpet horns also. I like them because they are definitely louder and better sounding than stock but not obnoxious.
i'm also thinking about wiring the horn to my alarm but is there a way that the horn will not go off when i engage/disengage the alarm? thanx

My dad had a set on his Buick Electra, [long time ago] compressor was run off the fan belt, large tank in engine bay and an air hose that would reach all the wheels, 4 horns, and a switch that would honk 2 of them or blast all 4, and just like the vid. nothing more fun then cruising in dads Buick on a Fri. night with 8 or 9 of your friend, [this is a huge car] and watching people damn near jump out of their undies when I honk the horn, and it those days the noise bylaws..... "we don nee no stinkin noise bylaws".
We had to do something for fun, if you were working on or cruising on a Honda it was an ugly small motorcycle made in Japan a compact car was a 2 door Chev that would seat 7, hot tunes was a good FM station, [mono], but the reaction of people to a set of train horns was pretty much the same and all a cop could do was give you a hard time and try and cite you for something else.
