automatic not shifting....

i have a 98 auto thats not shifting right. taking forever to engage to reverse and bouncing off the box on highway when trying to drop a gear. Dead transmission or needs ATF?!?!?

Have you check the trans fluid level?

yeah and the levels are fine. The fluid actually looks really clean.
