k i bought a usdm b18c1 gsr motor obd2. came with the harness but not the section that u connect through the firewall to the ecu. so i installed the motor and connected the plugs to the existing harness that goes to the ecu. my shell is a 95 rs. so obd1. the ecu was obd1 so i plugged it all up. vtec doesnt seem to be working code 21 pops up right when i turn the key even with reset ecu. i checked everything all the wiring is in fine. my question is is it ok to hook the obd2 harness to the existing obd1 harness connecter part that connects ecu. or do i have to get the obd2 one to connect to the ecu and get a conversion harness. the only code im throwing is code 21. car works fine just slow.
