what you need to know is about ABS.

ABS axles can be used on non-ABS Civics.
non-ABS axles can NOT be used on ABS Civics.

 

what civics came with ABS? my 97 EX doesnt have abs...

 

I don't think it was standard on any trim level, but it was an option.

 

There was only one Civic I am pretty sure that had it standard, and that's the 94-97 del Sol VTEC (but it's not all of those years, it's only some of them, I just don't remember which).

It was an option on the 99-00 Si, 92-95 EX (not sure of the specific years), and 96-00 EX (not sure of specific years).

 

ABS was optional only on the 92-00 EX as well as the 92-95 Si and 96-00 GX Sedan. Even the 99-00 Si it wasn't even optional on.
