A better question you should ask is "Is there any point revving the F22b1 higher than stock? Does it make any usable power beyond the stock rev limit?"

the only way i would see someone revving beyond that limit, is if they has their engine balanced out and had the proper tune in order to rev that high.

My thoughts, when the needle goes into red, clutch, shift, gas.

Redline is 6,250 I believe, stock rev-limiter is 6,750 so you can't go any further than that without modifying the ECU and tuning , plus it makes 145 hp @ 5,500rpm and 147 lb. ft. @ 4,500rpm, no point in every revving beyond 5,500rpm because if you look at the power curve, its putting out significantly less power than it would if you upshifted and put it back into the rpm range where it makes it's power. It really doesn't make usable power past redline, yet alone past it's rev limiter. The stock valve-train and springs are weak, I wouldn't trust it @ 7,000+ rpm, your floating valves by that point anyway. Although I have missed a shift on my F22b1 and it spiked past the limiter to about 7,000 or a hair over, didn't do any obvious harm or cause catastrophic failure, mind you this is a bone stock motor with 145,000 miles on it.
