i damage my knock sensor takin the motor out a othe vehicle.. will my car run funny what a out a knock sensor?

 

cel will be on but i dotn think it will run any diffrent

 

CEL will be on... may or may not put you in limp mode... not sure.

 

depends on if your car is OBD2. If its the top knock sensor on an OBD2 car it will put u in limp mode.(no vtec and retarded timing past 4k)

 

get your ecu chipped and have them disable knock. i highly recommend phearable.net

 

just put in a new knock sensor.. its there for a reason

 

Why go through all that?
Find a used Knock sensor in the marketplace or craigs, If the motor is out it will be cake to change.

 

CEL will probably throw a 28.

 

if its the secondary knock sensor (which I assume it is because he broke it putting in the motor) then its a piece of cake to install even when the motor is in.

@OP I suggest you go to a junkyard or go on CL and pick one up cheap, or look on HMP somebody has got to have one lol.
