@ 1500 rpm the engine starts to sound erratic like it s hitting a rev limit . if i put my foot down a little more it still stays @ 1500 rpm until i ve my foot down enough for the engine to hit the red line. problem only @ 1500 rpm.

can anyone give me an idea whats going on here. is it something in the throttle body or what. and if so. what in the throttle body?? any help appreciated

94 DC1 honda integra 1.6i soch non v tec.

ps . idles high @ 1500 at first and if leave idle will slowly return to what it should be but go for a drive ..( over 1500rpm) i d have to leave it idle for half an hour again to get a proper low idle....

 

might be better posting this in the civic forum since we didn't get the DC1 in North America.

 

Look for a vaccum leak or an intake leak. Check it with a can of brake clean
