I have a 97 civic cx hb. I got a 97 civic coupe for the swap. no light on coupe, but after swap light came on in hatch. I found out it's the fuel pressure sencor. will it affect the smog test?

 

Did you forget to connect one of the vacuum lines?

 

ya, everything is connected. light came on couple days after the swap.

 

Have you done the electrical troubleshooting of the fuel tank pressure sensor?

P0452- 91 - Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input




P0453- 91 - Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input

 

AutoZone will use a scan tool for free to determine which of those codes is being thrown. This will help with troubleshooting.

 

chip the ecu, instant code delete. hahahaha i dont know rules and laws wherever you live though.

 

will i still have trouble with smog test?
got more info from internet. It said something about some civics came with the sencor and some don't. I'm trying to find the sight.

thanks for your help. turns out it was the vacuum line that connects to the fuel regulator. was connected but had a hole on it. thanks again for your help.
