Stiff motor mounts and engine life
I posted this in Tech/misc but I think I'll have a better chance at getting an answer in here.
Simple question.
Do stiff motor mounts adversely affect the life of a motor (think vibrations)?
I am thinking that they do, however I can't find any evidence to support this and it seems that a lot of people are running mounts such as, hasport, without mentioning any issues.

Crank pulleys are often used to dampen the internal harmonics of an engine which benefits longevity. Engine mounts are designed to hold your engine in place but to dampen the engine vibration to the rest of the car. Two completely different things.
when the internals are rotating they have so much momentum that the little bit of shock they feel from the car bouncing around barely effects them in any way. the harmonic balancer is important because it is also part of the rotating mass.
