Flex Plate bust after transmission replacement
The flex plate on my Honda Civic 2001 just broke while driving on the highway (95000 miles), this was 5 months after I had the transmission replaced.
Are they related (a mechanic I talked to said that he had never heard of them going on a civic 2000, the mechanic at the honda shop didn't even tell me that the flex plate was connected to the torque converter and I asked him explicitly could it be related)?
Another $1000 after $1500 for the transmission, what ever happened to Honda reliability?

torque converter should have been replaced when you got the new tranny.
Honda reliability is no longer, they are living off their old reputation.

[QUOTE=RISRdotNet;38034885]the shop def. did something wrong, ive never heard of the bolts breaking on an auto[/QUOTE
i have seen it once but not in a honda. i work in a tranny shop. and like the other guy said they should have replaced the converter when they replaced your trans. And inspect your flex plate and bolts. i would go bitch to the shop.
