Default 01 ls swap into 96 ek

Hi guys, I just recently picked up 01 ls swap that's going to be installed into a 96 ek coupe. Its an EX model, I have some questions regarding the swap. First off the swap I got did not come with an ECU, I bought one off of Ebay. The model number is 37820 P75 C05, I tried to find info on it, does the "C" mean that its a Canadian model? I looked up the ECU for my engine and it said that I needed a A05. Does any one no if there are any spec differences between the two ECU's? Also I'm going to try and get this swap BAR'red so is the fact that its a Canadian ECU make a difference?

Next I notice on the intake manifold that there is an extra port on top. I think its for a purge control solenoid. I don't see that on the wiring for the EX harness am I supposed to wire that in or I cant use that sensor/valve? Oh yeah do I need to get the evap canister from the car that the engine came from or can I use the one from my car?

Sorry for all the questions but I tried searching and couldn't find any answers. Thanks ahead guys!

yes it is for the purge solenoid. you'll have to get an ls one. your ex has one but its attached to the fuel rail i believe, but the plugs should match. i have one lying around somewhere.

you can use your stock canister.

thanks for the reply I was was asking because I would like know if it makes a difference when I try to get it barred. California is pretty tough to get things done legally. I know that I have to get a a obd2a to obd2b conversion harness and I dont know if the will be good with bar folks. Oh well just gotta try and see.
