Default 06' 11.8 V6 and 11.1 4cyl rotors.. swap?

From what Ive read, the accord v6 has 11.8" front rotors.. the 4cl has 11.1".. is there any difference in the rest of the braking system,? calipers ect.

i have a 06' 2.4 lx coupe. i need some new rotors. was thinking about putting on 11.8 inch v6 sized rotors and pads? basically, im asking if v6 rotors will fit and work correctly (and have more stopping power) with the stock 16 inch alloy wheels.

thanks

Yep, they'll work. The part you should need (besides the rotor/pads) is the actual pad carrier/bracket. There are a few posts outlining the details on V 6 P dot net but the site is down right now. Double check that post 1st to make sure I didn't miss anything.

If you are pulling stuff apart anyway, you may want to check out the upgrade to the Acura Legend GS (1994-ish) it is a 2 piston sliding caliper and will bolt right on. More info regarding swap can be found on the same sight (again when it is up). The new calipers (both) should cost you about an extra $150 or so.

wow..acura legend..have heard that in a while.. i pops use to have a 92 legend...i loved that car. always used it to take dates to high school dances.haha..

anyway.. thanks for the advice.. ill probably go with 06 v6 hardware.. even with drums in the back on the lx, the braking is not bad. i just figured that if the v6 ones fit and really don't cost anything more.i should use those..

do u have the part number to the pad carrier/bracket..or are here any aftermarket ones available??thanks
