header panels are common to be broken. i'm not sure if they have any currently, but heeltoeauto.com is making/have made one piece carbon fiber hoods that incorporate the hood and the header panel as one. otherwise, ebay is your friend.

tranny being "locked" is not common. any 85-87 Si trans will work, civic or crx.

i'm new to the crx world but common prob's with 1st gen include idleing, reving, and major over heating. and it doesn't matter if u check ebay, salvage sites, salvage yards... ITS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to find parts for these things....

dang it people just sell your cars. i'm getting sick and tired of trying to help people on this site.

if you guys have the passion for modifying cars, you wouldn't mind hunting down the parts. people need to start doing research before buying cars.. i can't believe the influx of people that thing just because it's a honda it has a buttload of aftermarket support, can do anything etc.. i've been dealing out advice to struggling owners and they end up just giving up anyways. it's a complete waste of my time.

has anyone ever heard of dedication? i mean... this is just rediculous.. the idling issue is extremely easy to fix.. most of the time, it is just the IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED....

all the problems that are described are true for ANY CAR THAT IS 22-26 YEARS OLD!!! you aren't buying a brand new car off the dealers lot that the aftermarket support will be there..

i think my response from now on for anyone out there asking about any question for there 84-87 is just to sell it and buy a 92-95 hatch and be with the rest of the world because they need someone to hold there hand.

don't feel like doing the work? sell the car. if you do, come back and ask questions..

+1 - you describe how I feel exactly! It's worse with the early Accords!

yea, but that can be any car. i praised honda's over any other vehicle, then two hours after getting the title and paying the previous owner of my 96 civic i blew the head gasket in the original motor.... " **** happens", its all in the love and passion of being a honda tuner!
