Friends Integra with H22A was stolen last night
I am posting this for a friend in hopes that perhaps someone will have seen or will see something in the future about his car. Last night (Tues night) his car was taken from in front of his house in Pomona. He lives in a gated community (no guard, just gate) out near Cal Poly. Its not the greatest area, but its the nicest place around the school for the money.
Now for the info on the car. It was a 1995 Teal Green Acura Integra GSR. He had a H22A motor swap, DC header, filter on a stick, R1 black racing seats (look sorta like Recaro SRD), N1 style exhaust, and 17 inch 6 spoke silver wheels (not JDM, just can't remember the name). Fluidyne radiator. His license plate # is 3EMV484. Please keep an eye out for the car as that is his only mode of transportation.
It was stolen during the night while he was sleeping. He had an alarm on it, but obviously it didn't wake him up or go off. Also it was taken only 20ft from his bedroom window. Please don't post saying that he should of had more security devices, or he was asking for it not having his car parked in the garage. I am just posting this in hopes someone will see something in hopes that we can catch whoever did this. Also maybe you will see someone selling any parts including an H22A swap that fits an Integra.
I still can't believe it myself, i put a lot of work into the car myself and can only imagine what he's going through right now. Our only hope is that they stole the car for the seats and wheels and leave the motor. What sucks is he just got the seats 2 days before. Fortunately he got them for cheap and used, but either way it still sucks
p.s. i am posting here as this is the board i frequent, and also more people can unfortunately sympathize on the ITR board.
I have a couple old pictures, i will try to get one scanned soon.

ahh good thinking Dr. Holmes
Now seriously, check out who ever he bought the seats from because I have seen this **** happen a few times. Seller sells something to someone and just steals it back a few days later
should of had a low jack.....pomona isnt a very good place for a nice car...that sucks though.....but if they have not found it yet your car is F'd up now i wouldnt want it back....lets hope for the best though
Ya Brian,
I'm pretty upset about it myself. Also the seats were bought off a trusted friend of mine. He doesn't even know where my friend lives. So i am positive that he is not related whatsoever at all with the theft even through secondary sources. As soon as i find out any news on the car i will let you guys know. He didn't have the club or lo-jack of that sort on his car. Like i said he lives in a gated apartment complex (prob worse than housing track actually) and only had an alarm.
Hopefully they just wanted the seats and wheels. I guess he will prob find out soon as to what happened.

Just wanted to let everyone know they found the car today. From what they said there is absolutely nothing left in it. He's going to take some pictures of the car this afternoon, but looks like there will be nothing salvageable on the car.

too many stories about thieves make me want to buy something other than a honda and stay away from "honda scene" people.....I had my GSR stolen straight from my driveway as well many years back and I can empathize totally with him. My car was found gutted in the Woodbine area of Toronto (many many km away from where I live ...in fact over 1 hr) ... with nothing left but the body shell on blocks.
They never found the perp. The police were about as helpful as a stranger. Allstate was about as helpful as a stranger and haggled with me endlessly over the value of my then 6 mo. old GSR.
The thieves obviously from Toronto have run rampant up here. Police keep on busting chop shops and ******** selling stolen parts from their garage. It's a real sad statement about the kind of people that get into this scene that can't work to earn what they own and are too stupid to find a job ...
The only solace I can take out of this is the notion of karma and the fact that what goes around comes around...thieves pay back for their actions eventually whether it be from the kind of crowd they hang around or in their health....
I avoid the "honda scene" people like the plague for this very reason...

Sorry to hear about this Chris. Did he have insurance? I doubt insurance would cover an engine swap anyway. That really sucks.
