Default **TYPE-R BLOCK, What head?!?!**

Whats up H-T
Just had a question for everyone out there
So I got a Type-R block with a Gsr head (type-r valvetrain)
The question is would I be better off with gsr head or a b16 head?!
Or would it even make much of a difference..
Let me know what ya think..

the b16 head pretty much is a type r head minus the valvejob and itr valvetrain from the factory. the b16 head flows much better and will give you better performance. B16 heads have round combustion chambers and the gsr are square. the gsr head makes higher compression then the b16 head.

if you have both available to choose from go woth the b16 head. many people to poor mans r with the gsr block and b16 head because of the performance gains

They both have their advantages. I would says save your self some money and keep the gsr head. If you are looking for more power raise compression get a good tune.
