I bought a trans yesterday they guy said it has lsd on it how can I tell? I can see a rod threw the diff and still see the other end

 

If you can see a rod, then it is not LSD equipped. With an LSD equipped trans, you can see straight through the differential, through a hole without any obstruction. With an open differential, you can still see light coming from the other side, but there is a rod crossing through the hole you are looking through. Hope that makes sense.

 

If the tranny has lsd you should be able to see straight through. Sounds like you got jipped.

 

Yah it does that fuc* got me. He had also stated that it had carbon sync and a final gear installed any way to tell for that thanks guys.

 

open up the case and take a look. more then likely since there is no lsd like he said there will be no carbon gear.
