ABS installation?
Is it possible to install the ABS unit and system to my non ABS accord? i know my car was offered with it... so is it possible it has the room necessary? I have access to an ABS modulator and unit. Im just curious if this would be a very complicated install and worth it. I can get the modulator and most of the unit (excluding various mounting nuts, bolts etc) for free
Well I guess I shouldnt say "most people DONT want it".
I guess your just trying to have a "nice" DD.
People that are doing bay tucks, brake line tucks are going for the clean look.
Thats alot harder to do with all that ABS crap.
ABS functions GREAT as a DD(for those "emergency situations"), and at the race track when its raining.
Personally I wouldnt want ABS on a nice sunny day at the track.
I know there is a write up somewhere on teh interwebs of ABS removal, you would be able to "reverse" the process to install.

yes I did on my 94 it bolts in, but I can tell you it's no walk in the park first you have to swap out the rear drums to disc brakes , replace all of the hardlines under the hood only 2 rear ones are used on ABS car the proprotion valve is replaced with a coupler. and you need a ABS brake master and booster and both front spindles will need to be replaced or the ABS mount installed and the car harness needs to be replaced with a Lx/ABS (direct swap) or Ex (not direct) as you have to repin the left harness plug to the rear, new sub fuse box and positive battery cable/ ABS branch out and the gauge cluster if you want the ABS logo there. it took me 2 days of 4 1/2 hours each time to do the swap with the spindles and rear disc brakes installed and i'm fast!

it's always easier to not do somthing in general but it was somthing I never intended to do as it started with a rear disc drake swap with 5 lug conversion and the brakes felt like crap. and it was the turning point or but the drums back on or ABS swap and to be honist it wasn't that hard and I was never w/o a car as I broken it down to 2 stages basically I swapped out the harness in 4.5 hours drove home and 6 months latter swapped out the hard lines, brake master and booster and fuel filter too and drove it home 9 hours total!
