What does DC2 mean?
What does the DC stand for and what does it mean?
On wikipedia the DC2 ranges from 1994 to 1997, but the Integra TypeR that i've seen for sale shows "Integra TypeR DC2 (1998)".
thx,

It doesn't stand for anything. It's just a chassis code.
94-01 non-VTEC Integra coupes = DC4
94-01 VTEC Integra coupes = DC2
01-up RSX (all) = DC5

There are several correct answers posted above.
It is included as the fourth through sixth characters in the VIN number, representing a combination of the body and engine type, often referred to as the chassis code.
The illustration in the previous post is from a 1994 service manual. The 1998 service manual, which covers the years 1998-2001, also shows the B18C5 engine (from the Integra Type R) in the translation of the DC2 code.

I saw the car for sale in Germany, I want to import it, but all this engine labelling makes it all the more confusing. It shows "Honda Integra Type-R (DC2) from 1998 with 190 HP"
So, if i look at the scheme posted above, the DC2 is the B18C1 engine...
According to google, the B18C1 is rated 170 HP
But all the Integra Type-R's sold in Europe are (as far as I know) rated at 190 HP (140 KW). So can it still be DC2 then?
Also, The B18C5 is rated 195 HP. Which one is it now?
