Icon6 car help for a noob with a del sol

hey there so the last couple of days i noticed my 93 stock del sol around 225000km not really driven hard sol do this weird thing. Whenever im in idle and just waiting for the light to turn green and the engine is already warm, my revs suddenly drop to 0 and then jump back up. my normal rev is about 900 800 but then it drops to 0 then flickers. does anyone know whats going on?. i can feel the engine dieing on me then starts back up. but when im driving it feels okay.=( help as well does this happen to you guys? first time hearing it?

sounds like it could be a TPS (throttle position sensor) or IAVC sensor going bad. have you adjusted anything on the throttle body at all?

its hard to say cost. if it just a sensor it should be a fairly cheap and easy deal. i would check all your sensor connections as well and make sure they are all snug.

IACV - Roaming/Surging idle when the engine is cold

FITV - Roaming/Surging idle when the engine is warm

Air in coolant system as well? Check out this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...highlight=fitv

Clean out your IACV and tighten up your FITV....hope that helps

ignition switch or fried ecu(doubtful). If i remember correctly, if its the ignition switch you wont throw a cel.

If the IACV Idle Air Control Valve, your idle wont go to 0, it will surge some where between 800 to 1800 over and over.

All the sensors are pretty straight forward to change out, and the junkyard shouldn't charge you much, or maybe my local yard just likes me.
