so my friend just got a yakima snowboard rack or w/e the f you wanna call t, anyways **** looks cleannnnnnn, i want one on my ef hatch, i HAVE searched, but cant find anything i dont snowboard or anything lmao i want it because it looks way clean, thanks post links if you know thanks!

 

i know for yakima, all you have to buy is the "q clips" if you have q towers. my buddy with an ef has a thule one.

use the link to "outfit" your car, then head to ebay/craigslist and put a kit yourself.

 

just go to the yakima website and search by year, make, model and it should come up with a few results if any. thule makes them and there is also an oem from what i was reading.

costs an assload of money. 100(used)-up(new)

for basic Rack:
need towers, key/locks, 50lb bars,

then on top of that there are accessories, fairing(visor), bike rack, snowboard rack....list goes one.

 

so i have to piece together a kit

 

Pretty much. Most G.I. Joes and big sporting goods stores have huge displays and catalogs for Yakima and Thule.

 

you can find it in whole used, or build it together new :D...iv'e found plenty and they usually pop up. never spent more than a bill for a rack. fairings area pricey, totally in demand! 60-up for a fairing

people like to get rid of their " junk" usually used racks. and around here everyone has one. :D of course thats if you find it for that cheap, they are pricey

Its called a load warrior basket, horrible for MPG's lol. i ended up selling all of it because i just never used it.

i dont think its that bad on mpg. has alot of wind drag and is mostly for cosmetic purposes. just like hood bras. don't get that **** jacked.

you can buy a (used off craigslist or something) kit for any other car and make it work with the right leg attachments that are the only thing civic/crx specific.

 

nope actually doing hella research to find one available(hoodbra). not too much money. up to 150? maybe more? maybe less

 

Got a good deal from a friend, but brand new without the basket you are looking at around $250. the basket alone is over $300 lol.

I've had the same one since '94 and YES it gets USED! This is one fad I don't like, but if you must; look at Yakima or Thule.

Just to let you know I loose 6 mpg on the freeway and I have the original Yakima front fairing...

 

i think roof racks look ugly.
